Hammond
Machine Works, Inc. has served the railroad, steel mill,
paper and chemical producing industries since 1908. We
specialize in production and jobbing machine work, complete
fabricating service, assembly
and finishing in our 42,000 square floor building. Our
company uses state-of-the-art computer numerically
controlled (CNC) machinery to achieve the high quality
standards set by today's industries. The company was
originally known as Hammond Machine and Forge Works, when
Gastavos A. Kuehl began the business in 1908. At that
time the company was in a 12,000 square foot building on
Wilcox Street in Hammond. D.N. Nau purchased Hammond
Machine and Forge Works in 1960, changed the name slightly,
and moved to it's present location. In 1992, Peter Nau
purchased the business. He is the president of the
company and active in the company's day-to-day activities. |
